PSU Rail
### **3.3V Rail**
- **Motherboard**: Powers the Chipset, some types of RAM, and certain expansion cards.
- **PCIe Slots**: Provides power to devices connected via PCIe slots,
such as Network cards and some low-power GPUs.
### **5V Rail**
- **Storage Devices**: Powers hard drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs).
- **USB Ports**: Supplies power to USB devices, including peripherals
like Keyboards, Mice, and External Drives.
- **Optical Drives**: Powers CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives.
### **12V Rail**
- **CPU**: Provides power to the central processing unit (CPU)
through the 4-pin or 8-pin CPU power connector.
- **GPU**: Powers the graphics processing unit (GPU) through
PCIe power connectors (6-pin, 8-pin, or both).
- **Cooling Fans**: Powers case fans, CPU coolers, and other cooling solutions.
- **Motherboard**: Supplies power to the motherboard through the 24-pin ATX power connector.
- **PCIe Slots**: Provides additional power to high-performance GPUs and other PCIe devices.
### **Other Components**
- **RAM**: Typically powered by the 3.3V rail, but some high-performance RAM modules
may also draw power from the 5V rail.
- **LED Lighting**: Can be powered by either the 5V or 12V rail,
depending on the specific lighting setup.
